The redesigned details of the Sonata Hybrid are not only striking, but also an example of brilliant aerodynamics. Key features include active air flaps in the all-new cascading grille that dynamically adjust to driving conditions, opening to allow greater airflow for engine cooling in stop-and-go traffic and then closing for better aerodynamics at sustained cruising speeds. The re-sculpted front and rear bumpers further contribute to reduced drag, and integrated wheel air curtains help direct air over and around the front wheels to minimize wind resistance - all for a smoother ride and great fuel efficiency.

LED headlights with High Beam Assist

Available LED headlights and standard LED Daytime Running Lights create an unmistakable front light signature. The available High Beam Assist technology provides added convenience by detecting oncoming vehicles, as well as vehicles in the same lane, and changes from high beam to low beam automatically, as appropriate.

Hands-free smart trunk

Enjoy the convenience of the standard hands-free smart trunk technology. When the Sonata Hybrid senses the key within three feet of the trunk for more than three seconds, the smart trunk will automatically unlock so you can unload your two hands worth of cargo, effortlessly.

Standard heated front seats and steering wheel

The Canadian climate guarantees you'll face frigid winter conditions, which is why both the driver and front passenger can warm up with standard heated front seats. A heated steering wheel adds that extra touch of warmth and luxury. The passengers in the back can warm up too, with available heated rear seats.

The Sonata Hybrid stores its electrical energy in a highly advanced lithium-ion polymer battery. Full-parallel hybrid drive system

By using a full-parallel hybrid drive system, the Sonata Hybrid can run on a gasoline internal combustion engine, an electric motor, or both. This provides you with more optimized power and improved fuel economy by allowing the engine and electric motor to supply power simultaneously or independently.

Blind Spot Detection with Lane Change Assist

The standard Blind Spot Detection system uses radar to detect when a vehicle is in the driver's blind spot and provides both an audible and visual alert to help keep you safe as you move down the road. This feature works in conjunction with Lane Change Assist system, which measures the closing speed of traffic approaching in adjacent lanes to help determine if a lane change is safe.

Rear Cross-Traffic Alert

Activated during reverse driving, the standard Rear Cross-Traffic Alert system uses radar to help identify and warn the driver of vehicles approaching from the side, even before they come into view of the standard rearview camera.

Lane Departure Warning System with Lane Keep Assist

Drift outside your lane without signalling and this available system will alert you with audible and visual cues. If no action is taken, Lane Keep Assist can apply corrective steering assistance to remain within your lane markings.

Wireless charging pad

Located in the centre console, an available wireless charging pad lets you easily charge a compatible smartphone without the use of messy and unsightly cables.

Adaptive Cruise Control with stop-and-go capability

The available Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) system takes basic cruise control to the next level of convenience. Set your pre-determined speed and distance to the vehicle ahead, and ACC will automatically adjust the vehicle speed to maintain the set distance. The system will even operate in stop-and-go traffic, bringing the vehicle to a complete stop when necessary and then resuming automatically.
