Proximity key with push-button ignition
Key lost in your purse? Or jumbled in your pocket? With the available proximity key, it doesn’t matter. Simply approach the Accent and it will sense the proximity key as you press the front door handle button and unlock the doors. The technology also activates the smart trunk to automatically open when you stand within three feet of the trunk for more than three seconds.

Take advantage of the roomy trunk space to pack up your gear. Rear seats feature a 60/40 split-fold so you can accommodate longer items while still hosting a rear seat passenger.

6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic transmission
The Accent offers a standard 6-speed manual, or available 6-speed automatic transmission with SHIFTRONIC® manual mode.
Aerodynamic air vents
Integrated air vents on each side of the lower front bumper minimize air twisting around the wheel to provide less resistance. The result is enhanced drivability and fuel efficiency.
Safety
At the core of the Accent is the SUPERSTRUCTURE™, a state-of-the-art platform built with our very own Advanced High Strength Steel to deliver exceptional stiffness and strength. In the event of a collision, the SUPERSTRUCTURE™ helps protect occupants inside the vehicle by absorbing harmful energy and redirecting it away from the passenger compartment.
The rigid composition of the SUPERSTRUCTURE™ not only delivers enhanced safety, the stronger and stiffer frame means our engineers can tune key suspension components more precisely to reach a balance between handling control and ride.
Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist (FCA)
The available safety feature uses radar to detect rapidly closing speeds to the vehicle ahead. If a potential forward collision is detected, audible and visual warning notifications alert the driver. If the driver does not react to avoid the impact, the system can provide full braking assistance to help avoid a potential collision.
Rearview camera with dynamic guidelines
Reverse out of narrow driveways and parallel park with greater confidence with the standard review camera.
6 airbags
The Accent is equipped with six standard airbags: two advanced front airbags, two seat-mounted side-impact airbags and two side-curtain roof-mounted airbags with rollover sensors.

Available 4-wheel disc brakes provide an extra level of confidence with a larger friction surface and better cooling capabilities than regular drum-style brakes.
