AGINCOURT HYUNDAI

2016 Hyundai Santa Fe XL | Safety Features

We've loaded Santa Fe with brilliant safety features inside and out, including a driver's knee airbag, Hillstart Assist Control (HAC), Downhill Brake Control (DBC) and available Blind Spot Detection (BSD). Features that go beyond standard because there's nothing standard about our commitment to safety.
This available radar-based system helps detect when a vehicle is in the driver's blind spot and provides both an audible and a visual alert to help keep you aware as you move down the road. When reverse gear is selected, Rear Cross-traffic Alert helps identify and warn the driver of vehicles approaching from the side.
The advantage of this available safety-technology feature is clear. Lane Change Assist measures the closing speed of an approaching vehicle in the adjacent lane to determine if changing lanes is safe and if it's not, gives the driver an audible and visual warning.
Along with the standard rearview camera, Santa Fe's available Rear Parking Assistance System makes backing up easier. Sensors in the rear bumper give you an audible warning that increases in frequency and tone as you get closer to objects it detects in the area behind your vehicle.
With seven airbags, including a driver's knee airbag, the Santa Fe has more standard airbags than the Honda Pilot and Nissan Pathfinder.
Working in tandem with Electronic Stability Control (ESC), TCS limits power and applies brakes to individual wheels to reduce the occurrence of wheelspin, and routes power to the wheel with the most traction.
Santa Fe's Vehicle Stability Management (VSM) is an integrated active-safety system designed to help you avoid accidents. One of the features VSM coordinates is Electronic Stability Control (ESC) which uses sensors in the steering system and at each wheel to compare where you want to go with where the car is heading. If a difference between the two is detected, ESC slows the appropriate wheel to redirect the car and help keep you on course.
Helping the driver maintain confident control in difficult braking situations, Electronic Brake-force Distribution (EBD) balances braking forces at each wheel of the vehicle depending on the weight of the passengers and cargo that the vehicle is carrying.
