feature is just one more innovative element of Elantra
GT's comprehensive passive and active safety system.

Innovative Safety Features

In addition to the driver's knee airbag, the Elantra
GT has active safety features to help you avoid
accidents, and passive safety features in case of
one. A comprehensive Vehicle Stability Management
(VSM) system links and optimizes the function of all
active and passive safety features, incorporating ESC,
TCS and ABS in potential collision situations.

Steel, Safety & Handling

Elantra GT uses high tensile and advanced high tensile strength steel for a light, strong and rigid body structure.
A stiffer body structure makes for a safer vehicle,
plus it allows engineers the added flexibility and
opportunity to create a car with better handling and
more precise steering.


Auto Defogging System

This available feature uses sensors near the
windshield glass to detect humidity occurrence
and automatically remove humidity on the inside
surface of the windshield, improving driving
safety and visibility by preventing window fogging.
