The All New 2016 Equus | Technology Features

Behind the wheel, information comes at us in a torrent.
So much to take in, process, then act upon-often in milliseconds. That's when innovative thinking and advanced features like these can make a difference.
Equus offers a Multi-view Camera System featuring four cameras that provide a 360-degree view around the entire vehicle. This system includes a forward-view cornering camera mounted on the front grille, two cameras incorporated into the side mirrors and a rearview camera. When the Multi-view Camera System is on, the driver sees an aerial view of the Equus. The system can then be controlled to offer front, rear and side camera views. All camera views are displayed on the central in-dash navigation screen at low parking speeds, then switch back to the navigation mode at higher speeds.
The Lane Departure Warning (LDW) is designed to alert drivers of unintended lane changes. Audible, visual and haptic warnings are triggered to restore the driver's attention in cases where the car drifts or changes lanes without using a turn signal.
Never miss a thing. With Heads-up Display (HUD), your vehicle's most crucial information is conveniently projected directly onto the surface of the windshield. The Equus Ultimate features advanced capability in Heads-up Display mode and information items can be turned on or off at the driver's discretion. Monitor vehicle speed, turn-by-turn navigation, Lane Departure Warning (LDW), Blind Spot Detection (BSD) and Smart Cruise Control (SCC)-in real time, and never take your eyes off of the road.
The Equus Ultimate offers its driver a massively brilliant 12.3-inch LCD instrument cluster that is impressive in its beauty and function. This fully digital display changes screen color themes depending on the driving mode selected. Options include Sport, Normal and Snow modes.
Stop playing hide-and-seek on the highway. Expand your awareness with this essential safety technology that is designed to detect vehicles traveling in your blind spot. When an obstruction is detected, this system delivers an audio and visual warning so that you're more fully informed about where other vehicles on the road are hiding.
SCC is designed to detect vehicles within a driver-specified distance, and automatically maintains a consistent following distance. Operating like your normal cruise control when no other vehicles are near, radar judges the distance and speed of vehicles in front of you, and accelerates or brakes to help maintain a driver-selectable distance. With stop/start functionality, when the vehicle ahead of you comes to a complete stop the Equus will automatically come to a full stop. The Equus will then automatically begin to start moving again, if the vehicle ahead starts moving forward within three seconds.
