AGINCOURT HYUNDAI

2016 Hyundai Veloster Performance

The Veloster Turbo R-Spec starts with the 201-hp twin-scroll turbocharged engine. Then our performance engineering team trimmed some weight, added a B&M Racing Sport Shifter, sport-tuned steering, plus higher spring rates at each wheel and a stiffer transmission mount.
You'll be amazed by Veloster's 1.6L GDI engine. It's both strong and efficient, generating up to 138 horsepower* and delivering up to an EPA-estimated 36 MPG Highway.** Want to learn more about our award-winning GDI engine technology?

*With manual transmission; 132 hp with DCT transmission. **2015 Veloster: 26 City/35 Hwy M/T and 27 City/36 Hwy DCT. 2015 Veloster Turbo: 24 City/33 Hwy M/T and 24 City/31 Hwy A/T. 2015 Veloster Turbo R-Spec: 24 City/33 Hwy M/T. EPA estimates. For comparison only. Your actual mileage may vary with options, driving conditions, driving habits and vehicle's condition. ***Claim based on comparison of specifications on manufacturer websites.

The Veloster Turbo and Turbo R-Spec use the same GDI technology combined with a twin-scroll turbo to give them 201 horsepower and best-in-class power-to-weight ratio*** while still delivering an incredible EPA-estimated 33 MPG Highway.** Want to learn more about our award-winning GDI engine technology?
Paired with the automatic transmission, the Active ECO System makes a difference. Extensive computer modeling and powertrain performance mapping was used to modify engine and transmission control for fuel efficiency.* The result is up to an EPA-estimated 36 MPG Highway.
Typically found on high-end cars, the sophisticated 6-speed EcoShift Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT) with steering-wheel-mounted paddle shifters incorporates the latest technology while delivering smooth and efficient power. You also have the option of a peppy 6-speed manual transmission that's fun to drive and puts you in total control at all times.
A modified front suspension, featuring gas-filled hydraulic monotube shock absorbers, delivers a sportier ride, while the Motor-Driven Power Steering (MDPS) has been tuned for increased steering response. Large front and rear stabilizer bars reduce body roll and improve handling and control on the curves.
At the core of the Veloster Turbo R-Spec are features that put you in touch with the road and maximize vehicle performance. The 201-hp twin-scroll turbocharged engine is at the top of a features list that includes a B&M RacingĀ® Sport Shifter, sport-tuned steering, sport-tuned suspension with higher spring rates at each wheel and a stiffer transmission mount.
When the road turns twisty and you want improved performance in the corners, Torque Vectoring Control (TVC) enhances vehicle stability and safety. It's standard on Turbo and uses the Electronic Stability Control (ESC) sensors to detect understeer then initiates specifically programmed braking to provide precise cornering without compromising driving dynamics.
